Central Argument: According to Francis Bacon, there are negative and positive things in being single and married. Single man do great things, but helpless for the communities, in other hand married man might not be great but helpful to community.
Francis Bacon, English philosopher, is one of the most influential figures in history. He was a great man before he got married as an individual, however, when he got married in 1607 he was more involved in the community becoming a great role model to many of the young philosopher. According to Francis Bacon, there are negative and positive things in being single and married. Single man do great things, but helpless for the communities, in other hand married man might not be great but helpful to community. I agree with his statement because of Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie couple and my grandparents.
Being rich or being famous is not important at all, fame can bring you anything, but will eventually disappear in a blink of your eyes. Person with fame can do many great things; they can become a hero or even donate his or her money to charity. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are well known actors in Hollywood; well before they were married they did great things for themselves and the people around them. However when these two got married few years ago they helped out the community by adopting three children from different countries. This might sound silly, but when a famous group or individual start an act people seem to follow the act more frequently. Therefore, when these two got married they brought change in the community and stopped making themselves ‘great’.
Starting off a community is one of the hardest tasks, it is possible if he or she has lots of money. My grandfather at the age of 17 he led about 50 baggers in to the mountain to start off a community. It wasn’t easy for him to lead a community containing people who are much older than him or much younger than him. He did not give up, as a single man he did a great thing by starting off the community. However, it was just small portion of people and it was even tougher for him to keep the group running because there wasn’t enough money to feed them and provide proper shelter. However, when he decided to marry my grandmother, who was fully educated and came from good family background, the community starts to function better. Unlike the old days the income and outputs were clearly recorded and they didn’t have to eat same food over and over again. When they got married the community started to grow bigger and now it is about 36500m2 with about 10 buildings, shelters for poor, and many more. Their marriage helped out the community a lot they didn’t use their time to make themselves great, but the serve others. Majority of the people in my city respects my grandparents, because of the hard work they have done, but it wouldn’t have been possible if my grandparents didn’t get married.
Being single and being married is choice anyone can make, however, by getting married if it changes the society and help the community it will be better to get married then living as a single. There can be both positive and negative outcome of being single or married, but serving others by helping out the community is one of the most valuable thing one can do in their life time.
